The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has said that no Government official will be granted leaves because of the incessant rains in the state.

A government report states that at least 14 people lost ir lives on Sunday, 25 on Saturday and 54 from Wednesday to Friday in Uttar Pradesh. Last week saw hundreds of people dying across India owning to rain-related incidents. Uttar Pradesh saw maximum number of deaths last week. On or hand, rmal life in Bihar, especially Patna, has been badly hit. wear experts have been calling this as longest delay in withdrawal of Monsoon.
Yogi Adityanath’s statement of leaves
A government statement quoting UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Immediate provisions should be made to pump out water from flooded areas, and relief material should be provided to people affected by flood. In view of incessant rain, official will be granted leave." He said relief work should be accelerated, ensuring short of food material in flood-affected areas. chief minister directed that affected families should be immediately given financial assistance in case of death of kin. officials have also been directed to undertake a tour of ir districts and make necessary arrangements on spot to tackle any emergency situation, statement said.

Rainfall in Patna, Bihar
In an exclusive interview with Republic TV, Pratyaya Amrit, a senior IAS officer, spoke about situation in Patna amidst reports of incessant rain and floods. He said, “From information that we got from IMD, we have been issued a red warning. In reference to that, we have been preparing ourselves in last two days. In Patna, we are witnessing downpour from yesterday in evening. In only a couple of hours, we have crossed mark of 200mm. We still have entire day left. forecast for Patna states that chances of heavy rains are high.” NDRF held rescue operations in Patna, Bihar.
