Uttar Pradesh: COVID-19 cases surge to 727, with 11 fatalities & 55 recoveries

Of total 75 districts of UP, 44 have been affected by fatal disease, he ded. Lockdown arrangements in UP
Apprising people on arrangements me by Education Department in State amid COVID-19 lockdown, ditional Chief Secretary (Home), Awanish Awasthi said that Department of Higher Education has designed 31,939 e-content for learning. UP Government has also allowed industrial units to begin construction with by following social distancing rms. Moreover, any flyover, expressway or government work that has been stopped will be allowed to resume April 20, Awasthi ded.
"From today, offices of ministers have been directed to function with minimum staff. Furr work will be done as per guidelines of Government of India," said Awasthi.

"Stamp and registry work will start today. Petrol pumps, CNG centres will open from today. Instructions have also been issued for opening veterinary hospital," he ded.

Updates on Morab incident
Reacting to Morab incident, Awasthi said that any protest against health workers, police personnel or sanitation workers who are fighting against COVID-19 will be dealt with seriously and appropriate action will be taken against m. "People should cooperate, t protest," he said.
UP Chief Minister Yogi ityanath also took cognizance of attack and revealed that accused persons would be booked under stringent National Security Act. He ded that dam to government property would be recovered from guilty.

On Wednesday, a medical team along with police personnel visited an area in Morab to take family of a deceased COVID-19 family to a quarantine facility. When patients boarded ambulance, a mob of around 150 persons started pelting stones. Three persons, including a doctor and a pharmacist, have been injured. Moreover, ambulance and police van was also vandalized.
