UP Police registers case against Jawed Habib after NCW writes to DGP seeking prompt action
Hairstylist Jawed Habib has landed himself in a major controversy with a video of him going viral on the Internet showing him spitting on a woman's head.

A case has been registered against celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib for humiliating a woman during a training seminar in Uttar Presh's Muzaffarnagar. This came in backdrop of recent viral video that shows popular hairstylist spitting on a woman's hair during seminar and furr making fun of her in front of audience to which people were seen laughing and cheering.
Going a step furr, he was also seen suggesting that hairstylists can use saliva in case y don't have water in ir salon. However, this did t go well with netizens and he has been receiving heavy backlash ever since video surfaced on internet. woman from incident identified as Pooja Gupta who came to participate in seminar has lodged an official complaint with Muzaffarnagar police against Habib for being subjected to humiliating incident and for allegedly mocking her for asking questions during session.

Following incident, National Commission for Women (NCW) also took cognizance of situation and urged Uttar Presh to take necessary actions against him. In a letter written to Uttar Presh DGP, it asked for investigating veracity of viral video and taking appropriate action.
Later, replying to tweet, Muzaffarnagar police confirmed about lodging a case in matter against various sections at Mansurpur Police Station and furr said that y are proceeding with matter.

Meanwhile, hairstylist Jawed Habib has landed himself in a major controversy with a video of him going viral on Internet showing him spitting on a woman's he during a styling session. He has w also issued an apology statement citing that it was just an act through humorous intent to make session engaging and he did t mean to hurt anyone.
Sharing a video mess, he said that things spoken by him during seminar may have hurt some people. "While such sessions may get very long, it is important to make m engaging and humorous", he ded.
