UP Police won hearts by catching a couple who had run away from ir house and convincing ir family members to get m married at police station in Mahoba on Wednesday, December 25.

After getting an abduction complaint, Mahoba police found that kidnapper and his victim had eloped from home. y caught couple from Fatehpur district and brought m to court.

couple, Chandrashekhar Anuragi (22) and Aarti (19) pledged to marry each or and UP police took up initiative of persuading ir families and getting two married in Mahoda Police Station. 

Umesh Pratap Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of Karbai police station, said, "Chandrashekhar Anuragi, 22, and Aarti, 19, both belonging to same community, had run away from ir respective vills on December 22. girl's parents had lodged a case of abduction with police. On Tuesday, we caught m from Fatehpur district and produced m before court of magistrate, where both pledged to marry each or.”

Police took te that both Chandrashekhar and Aarti were adults and wanted to live with each or and decided that marri ceremony would be held in temple situated in Mahoba police office campus. 

Nagar panchayat chairman Moolchand Kushwaha was also invited to witness ceremony and all arrangements for marri were made by police.  unique initiative of UP police has won hearts of many people, who appreciated guardian role played by m.

Ar recent initiative that raised respect for men in khaki was when Indore police took te of a number of homeless people’s deaths due to being exposed to cold at night and decided to distribute blankets to m.
