UP Shocker: 6-Yr-Old Among 3 Detained for Allegedly Raping Landlord's 5-yr-old Daughter in Ballia
The incident is said to have taken place on Wednesday (October 16) evening in the Kotwali police station area.
Ballia: A six-year-old was among three minor boys who were detained for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district, said police. According to sources, the accused-- aged six, 13 and 16, -- raped the girl while they were playing on the terrace of their house. Subsequently, all three boys were detained. The three minor accused were living as tenants in her house.
The incident is said to have taken place on Wednesday (October 16) evening in the Kotwali police station area.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on the basis of the girl's mother's complaint.
It is learnt that after receiving information about the shocking incident, SP Vir visited the crime scene and inspected it along with a forensics team.
"The three accused have been detained and are being questioned," news agency PTI quoted Station House Officer (SHO) Yogendra Bahadur Singh as saying.
In a similar incident reported last month, two minor boys, aged 8 and 7, allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl at a deserted location in the Sadar Kotwali police station area of the city.
