“Keeping in view large number of candidates of civil services (preliminary) examination, 2020 (including Indian Forest Service (preliminary) examination, 2020) and requests received from candidates for changing ir centers, Commission has decided to give an opportunity to m to submit ir revised choice of centre,” UPSC said in a statement on Wednesday.

Besides this, option to change centers for civil services (main) examination, 2020, and Indian Forest Service (main) examination, 2020, is also being me available, it said.

Originally, civil services preliminary examination 2020 was scheduled to be held on May 31, but it h to be postponed to October 4, due to coronavirus pandemic.
civil services examination is conducted annually in three sts – preliminary, main and interview -- by UPSC to select officers for Indian ministrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among ors.

Lakhs of aspirants take examination every year to be part of country's coveted civil services. UPSC has also decided to make a ‘withdrawal window’ available to candidates on Commission’s website during period from 1st-8th August, 2020 to allow m to withdraw ir application from test, statement said.
All terms and conditions of withdrawal of application will be same as have been mentioned in examinations tice issued in February this year, it said.
“Candidates must te that once application has been withdrawn by candidate, it cant be revived in future under any circumstances,” statement ded.
