US billionaire George Soros targets Modi govt in Davos, fearmongers over CAA
US billionaire George Soros, while speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "creating a Hindu nationalist state."

In ar incident, what seems to be an attempt to target Modi government, UK based Ecomist Magazine has titled its recent issue as "Intolerant India" and has claimed to explain "how Modi is endangering world's biggest democracy." It claims that "civil liberties are being eroded", democratic institutions are being "weakened". However, article has t mentioned about anti-national sloganeering in anti-CAA protests, political nda of grand old party in Shaheen Bagh. It has also overlooked repeated clarifications and outreach programme by Modi government.

In past, Western media has targeted Modi government after India abrogated Article 370 and integrated erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. While neighbouring Pakistan attempted to spre fake news and rumour-mongered over communication blocke in Kashmir valley, Indian Army exposed ir propaganda and stated that blocke was necessary to prevent "provocation."
