US' Tallest Building In New York Lights Up In Diwali Celebrations

The White House sent Diwali wishes in its statement saying, “Happy Diwali from the White House! Together, may we show the power in the gathering of light.”

Diwali 2024: One World Tre Center in New York which is tallest building in US, on Wednesday lit up in colours in occasion of Diwali . building displayed 'diyas' as US celebrated Diwali.

In a post on X, Consulate General of India in New York stated, “Shubharambh of Diwali with tallest building in USA, One World Tre Center lighting up in riant colors! Here's to a festival of lights that shines across globe!"

Earlier in day, US Ambassor to India Eric Garcetti danced to popular song "Tauba Tauba" during Diwali celebrations at US Embassy in Delhi.

He performed Bhangra on stage to hit song from Vicky Kaushal-starrer movie B Newz. Garcetti wore a brown kurta, cool shes, a red dupatta, and taupe shoes to complete his festive look.

He shared his excitement by posting an image of embassy orned with golden lights for Diwali. "Our Embassy is lit up and we are all set for Diwali. How are you celebrating Festival of Lights?" he asked.

White House also sent Diwali wishes in its statement: “Happy Diwali from White House! Toger, may we show power in garing of light.”

Garcetti expressed his excitement about Diwali celebrations hosted by President Biden on Monday.

In a post on X, he said, “What a beautiful celebration of Diwali at White House! As we celebrate journey of light, we also honor invaluable contributions of Indian Americans who deepen US-India bond. From New Delhi to DC, may light of Diwali illuminate every corner of world and spre message of peace and prosperity.”

White House hosted a Diwali celebration, honouring Indian Americans' contributions to "US-India bond." Recently, First Ly Jill Biden and President Joe Biden hosted a Diwali celebration at White House on October 28, inviting Indian Americans from across United States to attend.
