Uttar Pradesh: 4 People Burnt Alive in Meerut As Their CNG Fitted Car Catches Fire

Meerut: In a tragic incident that surfaced from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district, at least four people travelling in a car were burnt alive after their CNG fitted car suddenly caught fire on Sunday evening leading to the shocking incident. The incident took place when the four of them were coming from Delhi in the car on June 2. Confirming the incident, the Meerut police stated that the incident occurred so rapidly that the four of them didn't even get chance to escape out of the car.
On the information, the local police and the fire department personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire. After the fire was controlled the charred bodies of the four deceased were taken out of the car and were shifted to a mortuary of the hospital for post-mortem.

The police have registered a case into the matter and are trying to ascertain the identity of all the deceased.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Kamlesh Bahadur told PTI, “Four people travelling in a car from Delhi were burnt alive in Jani Police station at around 9 pm. Police are yet to ascertain the identities of the deceased.”

"The car had a CNG kit fitted in it. The cause of the fire is still not clear. Efforts are being made to identify the deceased and to reach out to their families," said the officer.
Further legal action into the matter is being taken.
