Venkaiah Naidu affirms women empowerment 'essential for accelerated national progress'

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu underlined the importance of educating girls and stated that women empowerment is essential for accelerated national progress.

Indian Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu underlined importance of educating girl children in country and stated its essentiality in women empowerment for accelerated progress nationally.

Naidu me se observations while speaking at launch of a book on life and parliamentary debates of Umar Alisha, former priest of Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya hyatmika Peetham in Vishakhapatnam.

'Empowerment of women essential for accelerated national progress': VP Naidu 

dressing event,  Vice President highlighted that education of a girl child is one of major contributing factors to economic prosperity of individuals, family and nation and said, " empowerment of women is essential for accelerated national progress."

While paying tribute to Alisha for his role in India's freedom struggle under British Raj, Naidu described him as a humanist and noted his efforts in literary and societal reforms as well as for women's empowerment. Referring to spiritual approach of Alisha, Venkaiah Naidu affirmed that religious and spiritual leers should impart message of 'service' to common people.

"It should be conveyed to people that spirituality and service are not separate, and y essentially seek social welfare," Vice President said. 

"Spirituality and service are not two different things. Spirituality is not a form of worship. An outstanding lifestyle that boosts our morale. Maintaining our electrical virtue in a trinitarian way. Shri Umar Alisha has shown great meaning in spiritual path, in practice," Naidu stated.

Furr, Naidu urged youth of India to draw inspiration from sacrifices and valour of freedom fighters and strive towards a harmonious and inclusive society. He stated that structuring a society, free of all discriminatory evils, is auntic rich tribute to sacrifices of freedom fighters.

Taking to Twitter, Naidu shared, " Vice President, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu releasing a book on life & parliamentary debates of Shri Umar Alisha, former pontiff of Sri Viswa Viznana Vidya hyatmika Peetham at Visakhapatnam."

"It is a pleasure to unveil biography of Shri Umar Alisha Gari, former Chairperson of Shri Vishwavijnana Vidya hyatmika Peetha, and a compilation of speeches y me in Parliament before independence. y are mystics who have studied national and international languages as well as mythology," he ded. 

"Mr. Omar Alisha was a great freedom fighter. He also served as a member of Central Legislature during English period. Young people need to know about those who have put into practice desire for nationalism, equality, fraternity, universal harmony and women's vancement," Vice President furr shared.
