Padma Shri awardee and veteran actor Dinyar Contractor passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday morning due to age-related ailments, news agency ANI reported. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and wrote paid tribute to the veteran actor, saying that Dinyar Contractor was special because he spread lots of happiness.

Pma Shri awardee and veteran actor Dinyar Contractor passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday morning due to -related ailments, news ncy ANI reported. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and paid tribute to veteran actor, saying that Dinyar Contractor was special because he spre lots of happiness. 

PM Modi furr ded that his versatile acting brought smiles on several faces of his fans. From atre to television and films, Mr Contractor excelled across all medium, he wrote. Expressing sness over his demise, Prime Minister furr said that his thoughts are with his family and mirers.

Union Minister Smriti Irani also took to Twitter to pay her tribute to veteran actor. She stated that he brought bursts of laughter with him wherever he went.

Calling him a atre legend and actor par excellence, she furr wrote, "We will miss your presence Dinyar bhai. Rest in Peace Pma Shri Dinyar Contractor".

79-year-old veteran actor and atre legend Dinyar Contractor appeared in films such as "Bashah" and "Khili". According to  family sources, actor died due to old -related health issues, news ncy PTI reported. actor was best kwn for his comic roles in films and was awarded a Pma Shri, earlier this year. He will be cremated at  Worli prayer hall for Parsis at 3.30 pm on Wednesday.
