Vice President celebrates Diwali at official residence, meets PM Modi

Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu celebrated Diwali at his residence in the Upa-Rashtrapati Bhawan and met PM Modi to exchange details of the NAM summit

Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu, celebrated Diwali at his residence in Upa-Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi and met PM Modi later. He greeted PM Modi on festival of lights and discussed his visit to Baku, Azerbaijan, with him. pictures shared by his office show Venkaiah Naidu with his family lighting up  diya at courtyard of Bhawan.  

Vice President meets PM 

In his meeting with PM Modi, Vice President discussed his visit to  18th Summit of NAM held in Baku, Azarbaijan, with him. During visit to Azerbaijan, Vice President addressed Indian diaspora where he elaborated about relations between two countries. He also highlighted how India has progressed under Modi government.

NAM Summit 

18th Summit of NAM (n-Aligned Movement) was organised in Baku, Azerbaijan on October 25. summit brought toger leaders from different countries. NAM was inaugurated by Azerbaijan's President, Ilham Aliyev, who called for strengning cooperation among 120 member nations.  18th session of NAM summit was attended by world leaders such as Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic, Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Pakistani President Arif Alvi, Indian Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Libyan Prime Minister Fayez Mustafa al-Sarraj, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Djibouti President Ismail Omar, Ghanaian President Nana Akufo- Addo alongside Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohammed.
