VIDEO: Sinkhole Swallows Truck As Pune Road Caves In Within Seconds

Pune: In Pune, a truck belonging to Civic sanitation department on Friday fell upside down into a pit after cemented ro suddenly caved in on premises of City Post Office on Friday afteron. entire incident was captured on CCTV installed nearby, wherein, it can be clearly seen that truck got swallowed in pit after path caved in from behind.

According to official sources, incident took place at around 4 pm in densely-populated Budhwar Peth locality. Fortunately, driver of truck escaped from truck unhurt timely.

A fire brige official stated that driver of jetting machine truck of Pune Civic Sanitation Department, which used to clean drain lines, escaped unhurt.

It is being claimed that underground work of Pune Metro is undergoing in Budhwar Peth area. However, reason for caving in of ro was yet to be ascertained.

A few videos also surfaced on social media capturing moment, when truck slid into pit from its rear end after ground, paved with interlocking cement blocks, caved in.

Efforts to pull out truck were underway.
