Srinagar: A ruckus broke out in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly for third consecutive day on Friday as BJP members protested over special status resolution, prompting Speaker Abdul Rahim Rar to marshal out 12 opposition MLAs and Langate legislator Sheikh Khurshid. commotion intensified when a PDP MLA from Kura displayed a banner demanding restoration of Article 370, sparking a scuffle and loud sloganeering by BJP MLAs.

As session began, BJP members entered well of House, raising slogans like "Pakistani nda nahi chalega." In response, Speaker Rar directed that y be escorted out by marshals. After eviction, 11 more BJP MLAs walked out in protest.

Assembly has seen continuous unrest since Tuesday, following introduction of a resolution by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary. resolution said, “This Legislative Assembly reaffirms importance of special status and constitutional guarantees, which safeguarded identity, culture and rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir, and expresses concern over ir unilateral removal.”

"This Assembly emphasises that any process for restoration must safeguard both national unity and legitimate aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir," it ded.
