VIDEO: Paraglider Falls In Tehri Lake During Training Session | Here's What Happens Next

New Delhi: A dramatic video making rounds on social media captured a moment a paraglider lost control and fell into Uttarakhand's Tehri Lake during a training session. The incident took place near Koti Colony, where the man identified as 26-year-old Rishi from Nainital, plunged into the lake after failing to manage his landing.

However, the quick response by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) averted a tragedy. Led by Chief Constable Rakesh Rawat, the SDRF team swiftly set off for the rescue using a motorboat stationed near the lake for such emergencies. Their instant action ensured Rishi’s survival, pulling him from the water just as he was on the brink of drowning.

The 41-second video showed Rishi spiralling out of control before splashing into the lake. Within moments, the rescue team arrived, bringing him onto the boat and taking him to safety on the shore. 

With Tehri Lake being a popular tourist spot, SDRF teams remain on standby to handle incidents like these, ensuring the safety of both locals and tourists involved in adventure sports.
