Vijay Mallya posts massive thali pic, netizens remind him of Jail food

Embattled liquor baron Vijay Mallya made yet another made an appearance on social media as he took to Twitter and posted a picture of a huge Onam Thali.

Embattled liquor baron Vijay Mallya made yet another appearance on social media. He took to Twitter on Thursday and posted a picture of a huge Onam Thali that he stated he had in London. However, social media users took the opportunity to remind Vijay Mallya about the jail food that he would be having after returning back to India. In his Twitter post, Mallya described the massive thali as "absolutely awesome".

Netizens troll Mallya

Responding to Mallya's post, social media users took a dig at the fugitive offender. While some of the netizens questioned Vijay Mallya about their money and asked him to return back to India, while others reminded him of the jail food. One of the users expressed hope that next year Mallya would be having the Thali in Arthur Jail in Mumbai.

Mallya allowed appeal against extradition order

Earlier in July, the fugitive offender was allowed the appeal against his extradition order to India by the Royal Court of Justice in London in the alleged fraud and money laundering charges amounting to Rs 9,000 crores in India. He was branded as the first fugitive economic offender by a Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in Mumbai earlier this year, following an appeal by the Enforcement Directorate. Meanwhile, Mallya has been actively posting on Twitter and offering "100 percent payback" to state-owned Indian banks to cover his now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines' debt.
