Twitter has me it easy to voice one’s grievances, be it to biggest leers or platforms, but that also exposes one to trolls if concerns are t fool-proof. Users of microblogging platform faced such a situation recently when y complained of ‘vulgar’ s on Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) portal of Railways to book train tickets. platform’s reply to ‘aggrieved’ parties about how y were receiving said vertisements due to ir browsing history is going viral.
A Twitter user shared screenshots from portal that contained vertisements of a lingerie brand, app for doctors to cure sexual problems and a website about reasons for extra-marital affairs. He captioned it, “Obscene and vulgar s are very frequently appearing on IRCTC ticket booking app. This is very embarrassing and irritating”, also tagging Railway Ministry and Minister Piyush Goyal.

Ar user also shared similar screenshots of a website to ‘connect’ and wrote, “I feel very b during booking bcoz this vertisement. Sir Pl look into this pls..”
IRCTC portal’s straightforward reply is winning Internet, “Irctc uses Googles serving tool X for serving s.se s uses cookies to target user. Based on user history and browsing behaviour s are shown. Pl clean and delete all browser cookies and history to avoid such s.”
