War of Words: Owaisi Says 'Kam Sun Rha Hai' After Yogi's 'Batenge Toh Katenge' Call For Hindu Unity
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi slammed UP CM Yogi Adityanath for his 'Katenge Toh Batenge' saying that such remarks only reflects Yogi's insecurities.
Hyderabad: Hitting back at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's ‘Batenge to Katenge' remarks, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that he has always vocally condemned the violence which happened in Bangladesh adding that CM Adityanath must visit the ENT doctor if he is having some hearing issues.
“It is you who are dividing the society. Yogi knows that the BJP wants to remove him from the position of CM. Maybe he is saying this (Batenge Toh Katenge) to the BJP and it reflects his insecurities. He is targeting Muslims through such hate speech,” Owaisi said at a press conference.
‘Kam Sunai De Raha Hai’, Yogi Must Visit ENT Doctor, Says Owaisi
On Yogi Adityanath questioning Owaisi’s silence on the events unfolding in Bangladesh, Owaisi said, “I think he is having issues in his ears. He must visit an ENT doctor. We have condemned whatever has happened in Bangladesh. How are we responsible for what is happening in Bangladesh? I have condemned the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. On Palestine, just recall what Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister, and current Foreign Minister said on it.”
Earlier today, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the "nation will be empowered only when we stay united" while warning, "if we are divided, we will be destroyed."
The remarks came in the aftermath of the political crisis in the neighbouring country Bangladesh where Sheikh Hasina, the former Prime Minister, was forced to flee the country following weeks of deadly protests.
"Nothing can be above the nation. And the nation will be empowered only when we are united. 'Batenge to Katenge'. You are seeing what is happening in Bangladesh. Those mistakes should not be repeated here... 'Batenge to Katenge, Ek Rahenge to Nek Rahenge'...," CM Yogi said while addressing a gathering.
