WATCH: Indian Railways now equipped with state-of-the-art executive waiting lounges complete with recliners dining halls

Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal on Sunday spoke about the recently inaugurated executive waiting lounges at railway stations.

Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal on Sunday spoke about recently inaugurated executive waiting lounges at railway stations. 

In a tweet, Goyal asked people to experience state-of--art executive lounges at railway stations - a new dition to railway amenities. se include state-of-art facilities like recliner seats and couches, dining halls and many or features which were opened up for people by Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC). se d-ons at railway station appear to be thing short of airport-like facilities. lounges have been me so that people w do t have to brave elements while waiting for ir trains. In dition, se lounges are spacious eugh so that passengers can keep ir lugg, and benefit from easy access to station premises and platform. So far, Ahmedab, Tirupati and Jaipur are stations where se executive lounges have been piloted.

In dition, Goyal also showcased systematic and timely maintenance that has been initiated at station premises regularly in a bid to maintain cleanliness. Railway Minister also tweeted a video of staff cleaning station premises at Chandigarh Railway station and And Vihar Station in Delhi:

Earlier on July 12, Goyal said that re was " question" of privatisation of railways, but said ministry would invite investments for new lines and projects in national interest.

"re is question of privatisation of railways. Railways cant be privatised. However, if we have to increase facilities in railways n obviously we need investments for it. We have taken a decision to encour public private partnerships and we will also corporatise some units," minister said.
