WATCH: PM Modi's Animated Avatar Demonstrates 'Bhadrasana' Ahead Of Yoga Day 2019
In the run-up to the fifth International Yoga Day on June 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken to Twitter to spread awareness among the citizens on the importance of Yoga. Sharing yet another video of his animated version doing 'Bhadrasana', he takes to Twitter emphasizing on the importance of doing this exercise which gives strength to one’s mental and physical health while keeping it stable.

In the run-up to the fifth International Yoga Day on June 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken to Twitter to spread awareness among the citizens on the importance of Yoga. Sharing yet another video of his animated version doing 'Bhadrasana', he takes to Twitter emphasizing on the importance of doing this exercise which gives strength to one’s mental and physical health while keeping it stable.
In the video, the Prime Minister's animated version can be seen doing the ‘Bhadrasan’ or the Auspicious Pose. Citing the benefits of this exercise, he says it helps relieve not only pain from the knee and hip joints thus making them strong but also reduces stress caused in the stomach.

While it says that the pose is beneficial for pregnant women and those going through their routine menstrual cycle, it is adviced that patients suffering from Arthritis and Sciatica are advised to avoid doing this exercise.

Urging the citizens of the country to make Yoga an integral part of their lives he tweeted, 'Know why practicing ‘Bhadrasana’ is helpful'. Here is the Twitter video:
June 21 has been designated as World Yoga Day following PM Modi's suggestion in his speech at the UN General Assembly in 2014, months after he was first elected to office. Since then, not only India but the world celebrates Yoga Day with thousands participating in mass Yoga events across the world.

On June 5, Prime Minister wrote, "On June 21, we will mark Yoga Day 2019. I urge you all to make yoga an integral part of your life and also inspire others to do the same. The benefits of Yoga are tremendous."

In 2018, the Prime Minister had shared several 3D videos explaining Pawanmuktasana, Setu Bandhasana, Shalabhasana, Ardha Chakrasana, Vajrasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana among others. He also participated in a Yoga session in Argentina at last year's G20.
Carrying the trend forward in 2019, the Prime Minister has been consistent in proliferating Yoga through its Twitter handle.
