Water Cut in Pimpri Chinchwad on September 19-20; Check Timings
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has announced a water cut in the district on September 19 and September 20; check the timings.
Pimpri Chinchwad: A water cut has been announced in Pimpri Chinchwad near Pune for September 19 and September 20, by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). Read to know the reason behind the water cut in the district and the timings when residents are expected to face problems with respect to water supply.
Water Cut in Pimpri Chinchwad on September 19-20
A water cut has been announced in the areas that fall under the K, F and E Regional Offices by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. The water supply will remain disrupted on the evening of September 19 and water shortage is expected on September 20. Water supply will remain normal in the morning but will be suspendd in the evening on September 19. Reduced water supply and low pressure in taps should be expected on September 20.
According to a statement by Joint City Engineer Ajay Suryawanshi of Water Supply Department, this water cut is because of maintainance work at the Bhosari RS2 Substation that powers the Talwade River Water Pumping Centre and Chikhali Water Purification Plant. The power supply will remain shut from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the substation.
Mumbai Water Cut
In another news, a water cut has also been announced by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in areas under K East and K West divisions i.e. in Mumbai's Andheri. The BMC has issued a statement in this regard that says, “Due to the replacement of valves on the Nigam Channel, the water supply in the K East and K West wards will be closed from Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 8:00 PM to Friday, September 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM.” The residents have been asked to remain vigilant and use water judiciously during this 19-hour water cut.
