WB BJP neta's daughter says no to govt bicycle to protest dad's arrest in 'false cases'
A class X student in Bengal refused to receive a free bicycle from Mamata Banerjee's TMC govt in protest against the arrest of her father, who is a BJP leader

A Class 10 student in West Bengal's Birbhum district refused to receive a free bicycle from Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government to protest against arrest of her far who is a local BJP leer, school hemaster said on Saturday.
Moutrisha Dey, studying in Kusumi High School, Rampurhat, wrote a letter to authorities of institute saying that she would not accept bicycle as her far was allegedly arrested in false cases.

"Bicycles under Sabuj Sathi scheme were distributed among students on Friday. She refused to accept it. We have informed higher authorities and returned cycle," hemaster of school, Srikanta Mondal, said.
Free bicycles are distributed to students from classes 9 to 12 in Bengal government-aided schools and mrasas under Sabuj Sathi (green companion) scheme. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee h launched scheme for students in 2015.

'False cases implicated against BJP leer'
Moutrisha Dey alleged that police arrested her far on September 17 last year, after implicating him in false cases. "We h to suffer a lot while my far was in police custody and judicial custody," she told media.
Her far Sushanta Dey, president of Mayureshwar-II block of BJP, claimed that police filed multiple cases against him on basis of false allegations last year and he is currently out on bail. "I h to spend 35 days in police custody and jail custody. decision of not receiving bicycle was taken by his daughter," he said.

Local TMC leers, however, alleged that students did not accept bicycle at instigation of her far.
