In a shocking incident, Vasundhara Oswal, Pankaj Oswal, and Mukesh Menaria were kidnapped in Uganda. Riddhi Oswal shares insights on this alarming situation in an exclusive interview, shedding light on the challenges and implications of such crimes in the region.
Pankaj Oswal, an Indian-origin billionaire, is facing a difficult situation as his eldest daughter, Vasundhara, has been in prison in Uganda for over three weeks. On October 1, she was taken by armed police while visiting her family’s factory. Officials say her detention is part of an investigation into the alleged kidnapping and murder of Mukesh Menaria, a former employee. However, the Oswal family insists that these charges are false and part of a larger plot against them.

The family has gone into hiding to work on getting Vasundhara released. They believe the allegations are made up and that corrupt Ugandan officials are working with their business rivals to harm their reputation. Riddhi Oswal, Vasundhara's sister, expressed shock at the level of corruption they are facing, saying that the officials are clearly collaborating with those who want to damage their family’s name.
Who is Mukesh Menaria?
Mukesh Menaria, originally from Rajasthan , has worked for the Oswal family since 2017, helping as cabin crew for their private jet and taking care of their homes around the world. His relationship with the family became strained earlier this year, leading to misunderstandings. The Oswal family claims that Menaria is alive and well in Tanzania, where he was found after leaving Uganda willingly. He has signed a statement saying he was never kidnapped or harmed and that he left Uganda on his own.
