Who Wins the Taste Test? Himanta Biswa Sarma Claims Guwahati's Fuchkas Better Than Delhi's

Golgappa, Fuchkas, or Pani Puri is one of the most popular snacks, and it has fans not only in India but across the globe. There is always a debate on which state has the best golgappas, whether it is Delhi or Mumbai. But Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has added a new touch to this debate by claiming Guwahati’s fuchkas are better than Delhi’s Golgappas.

Although he appreciated the overall pallet of chats that Delhi has, he made a claim and said, “I bet Guwahati Fuchkas beat Delhi's Golgappas.”

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma was in Delhi and visited Delhi’s famous Bengali Market with Union Minister of State for External Affairs; and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita and enjoyed the delicacies offered at the Bengali Market.

Nonetheless the platter of chaats one gets at India’s capital city is always admirable. This evening, at Delhi’s famous Bengali Market, enjoyed some lip smacking delicacies with Hon'ble Minister of State Shri @PmargheritaBJP.”

The viral tweet got more than 50,000 impressions and 2,300 likes on X. But, people in the comment section did not completely agree with his claim.
