New Delhi: As Republic P-Marq, Matrize exit poll predicted Congress ' comeback in Haryana , former Haryana Chief Minister and veteran party leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that they will work on unemployment, education and security after coming to power.

"I have been saying this since we started campaigning that there is a wave in favour of Congress . Congress will form a government with a thumping majority...The main factor was our achievements from 2005-2014 and the failure of the BJP government from 2014-2024- corruption and non-performance. We will work on unemployment, education and security...", said Hooda.

When asked about Kumari Shelja’s comment that her name might be considered for the Haryana CM post, Bhupinder Hooda responded, “It (CM post) is everyone’s right... This is democracy. Whatever decision the High Command takes, we will accept it... She (Kumari Shelja) is our senior leader…”

For the unversed, exit polls have forecast a decisive victory for the Congress in Haryana , with several polls indicating the party could secure more than 50 of the 90 Assembly seats.
