Sitaram Yechury: 'Our strength has been systematically destroyed by this government'

Yechury takes on BJP for ecomy
Earlier this week, Sitaram Yechury slammed BJP government and accused m of destroying ecomy. He also alleged Modi government of being obsessed with Pakistan. ditionally, Yechury in ar tweet stated that y will continue protesting against BJP policies and t let m destroy social, ecomic or political fabric of country.

General Secretary of CPI(M) said, “BJP govt has destroyed ecomy. It has real consequences for Indians - y are eating less to somehow survive, while Modi keeps up his obsession with Pakistan and continues with his project to destroy our social fabric”.

Yechury on CAA
CPI-M General Secretary slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Citizenship (Amendment) Act on Tuesday as well. Taking to Twitter, Yechury wrote that Citizenship (Amendment) Act is about India and t Pakistan. He ded that PM keeps invoking Pakistan and questioned his "obsession" with Pakistan.

CPI-M to file petition challenging CAA
Leers of Opposition parties came toger on Monday to dress a press conference at Constitution Club in Delhi following clashes between students and police inside Jamia Millia Islamia University on Sunday, December 15. General Secretary of CPI Sitaram Yechury condemned police action against students during which many students were injured as police barged into Jamia campus and resorted to lathi-charge and firing teargas shells. He also said that his party is going to file a petition in Supreme Court, challenging Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
Speaking at a press conference, Yechury said, "CPI-M is filing a petition in Supreme Court challenging Citizenship (Amendment) Act. It will be done maybe today. It's all rey. basic point is that Act is anti-Constitution. It violates Assam Acord. amendments me in this Act consequent to Assam Accord are violated by this Act".
