'You Continue To Revel In Hallucination of Being CM:' YS Sharmila Demands Jagan Reddy's Resignation
YS Sharmila said the former CM had no right to continue as an MLA if he didn't want to attend the Assembly

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Chief YS Sharmila Reddy, on Sunday, demanded that the former state Chief Minister and her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy resign as MLA if he failed to attend the Assembly.
Taking to X, the state Congress party supremo wrote, “What a despicable manifestation of shamelessness, cowardice, and arrogance by someone who had been given the opportunity by the people to rule the state for five years! It is utterly shocking and deeply disgusting when we read about YS Jagan’s vow not to step into the state Assembly, as long as he was not granted the post of Opposition leader. This reeks of nastiness in the very exhibition of such thought and attitude, and is in clear violation when it comes to the discharge of duties for the cause of the people. Isn’t this the fundamental premise, on which you swore yourself, to be unfailingly and always dutybound for people? Isn’t this placed in utter distaste, deceiving people, when you are constitutionally obligated to attend the Assembly and represent their voices and concerns?”

"Please be reminded that the status or stature of being an MLA is not to blow your own trumpet, nor to fulfil your vested political and personal interests," added Sharmila Reddy.

She further added, “Five years of your rule has left deep and untreatable ugly scars on the state’s face, where you and your army of looters have left nothing untouched, from land to sand, liquor to mines, and above all, hooliganism and murder politics. It is beyond doubt that your atrocious rule would be under the scanner when you step into the Assembly. This is precisely the reason why you want to run away from attending the Assembly. As such, with your number rudely reduced to 11 by none other than the people, I am sure you have not yet learnt any lessons from this ignominy. You continue to revel in the hallucination of being a chief minister.”
"We demand that you attend Assembly with dignity and responsibility, and stand firm in tendering explanations for the incredibly tyrannical rule that your party had unleashed to assault the spirit of the state. Haughtiness has no place in a democracy, and your cowardice only shames you further," concluded the APCC President.
