At a review meeting held on June 3, Jagan enquired about present status of project and period of completion and said if re is any instance of awarding works on mination quoting a high price, state government will opt for reverse tendering to save money to exchequer.

Giving details of projects, Principal secretary of irrigation Sasibushan Kumar said state government has spent Rs 11,537 crore so far on Polavaram project and central government has to reimburse Rs 4,810 crore. official said ar Rs 12000 crore is necessary for completion of civil works, and Rs 27000 crore towards R & R pack, an official statement read.
Chief Minister made it clear that he would t tolerate corruption at any st and appealed to officials to furnish details of excess rates. He also said he would felicitate officials who could save 20 per cent of project cost by revealing irregularities.

During meeting, Jagan directed officials to prepare plans to utilise Godavari water going waste into sea. Officials should prepare proposals to divert Godavari water to or parts of state by storing water in nearby reservoirs and tanks, he mentioned. He also asked officials to study possibility of utilising Buckingham canal for diverting Godavari water.
YSRCP Chief asked officials to prepare a report on priority projects in state and said he would inspect Polavaram project work soon and convene a detailed review meeting on irrigation on June 6.
