YSRCP calls Naidu’s Amaravati tour a publicity stunt after people of Andhra reject TDP

The YSRCP derided Naidu’s much-publicized Amravati tour and called it ‘antics and theatrics' even after the people of the other constituencies rejected TDP

acrimony between political rivals in Andhra Presh continues as TDP and YSRCP spar over Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘Chalo Amaravati’ tour on Thursday. Along with his party leers, former Andhra Presh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu h planned a 'Çhalo Amaravati’ tour to meet farmers who h donated ir land for capital region and pay a visit to sites of projects he h initiated as CM. tour h met with hurdle right at beginning as his entour was met with protests primarily from farmers' groups, with a protestor even hurling a slipper at Naidu.

Amaravati Capital region consists of 29 vills between Vijayawa and Guntur that were acquired under Naidu regime and foundation stone was laid on 22 October 2015. Continuing tour, Naidu urged sitting Chief Minister and his arch-rival, Jaganmohan Reddy, to t forsake developmental projects he h initiated during his tenure. Naidu claimed that under him n Andhra government h planned to develop over 54,000 acres of land pooled for capital city construction at Amaravathi and refuted allegations by ruling dispensation claiming that work around Rs 5,000 crore which is just 5% of total projects planned was completed during his tenure.

YSRCP, however, derided Naidu’s much-publicized tour and called it ‘antics and atrics even after people of surrounding constituencies have rejected his party outright in 2019 elections’. YSRCP MLA Ambati Rambabu accused former CM of ‘t having anything else to do but raising n-issues and trying to gain political mile out of it by holding such marches and tours to which appears to be attention-seeking syndrome.'
