YSRCP MLA attributes sand shortage to floods in river Krishna
YSRCP MLA Ambati Rambabu on Saturday, attributing to the shortage to floods admitted that there has been a scarcity of sand in the Krishna river basin.

Senior Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Congress Party leer and MLA Ambati Rambabu on Saturday, attributing to short to floods, mitted that re has been a scarcity of sand in Krishna river basin. While dressing a press conference, Rambabu said, "re were floods in Krishna river after 14 years; silt is also re. Sand mining is t congenial due to floods. Once floodwaters recede, re will be possibility of providing an equate amount of sand to people."
Recalling NGT's decision
Recalling National Green Tribunal's (NGT) decision to penalise TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's government with Rs 100 crore for plundering sand reaches, Rambabu said that Andhra Presh government h decided to speed up issuance of government orders so that re is red-tapism.

TDP accuses AP government of encouraging sand mafia
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Saturday put forth a demand that state government should pay a compensation of Rs 10,000 to all construction workers protesting short of sand in state. Along with it, in a press te released by TDP, party's state president K Kala Venkata Rao has alleged that state government of cancelling free sand policy in state. statement also alleged that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government's move has encourd sand mafia which has left around 30 lakh workers with work. Referring to it, Rambabu said that it was unacceptable of TDP Chief to blame sand policy of government for short. Speaking about new policy, he said that new policy enviss a ban on mechanised mining and only allows manual sand mining.

On Pawan Kalyan's remark
Jana Sena Party chief and popular Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan on Saturday said that lakhs of workers are suffering as y have work due to sand short in state. Countering, YSRCP MLA said that everybody kws that cases were foisted against Reddy only because he h fought against n Congress government at Centre and formed his own party. During press conference, he furr ded, "It is wonder that people have given him a clear mandate by giving him 80 per cent of seats and 50 per cent of votes. Pawan Kalyan should stop criticising government which is striving for welfare of people."
