Around 120 people have tested positive for Zika virus in Rajasthan, state health minister Kalicharan Saraf said on Monday, October 22.
"Till, w, 120 people have tested positive for Zika Virus in state out of which 105 of m have been treated," he said, ding that door-to-door survey is being done for screening and awareness of virus.

He furr said that disease can be cured within one week if equate preventive measures are followed by patients."According to medical experts, Zika fever can be cured if patients, who are suffering from it, get plenty of rest, drink ample amount of water, and take medicines such as paracetamol, y can get cured within a week," Saraf ded.
Zika virus disease, a mosquito-borne viral infection is caused by a virus transmitted primarily by Aedes mosquitoes, which bite during day. Symptoms of this disease are mild fever, rash, conjunctivitis, muscle and joint pain, malaise or a heache.
Zika virus infection during pregnancy can cause infants to be born with microcephaly and or congenital malformations, kwn as congenital Zika syndrome. Infection with Zika virus is also associated with or complications of pregnancy including preterm birth and miscarri.

Rajasthan Health Department has said mosquito fogging has been done in affected areas on a regular basis in Shashtri Nagar area of Jaipur, where first case of Zika virus came to light.
"At least 67 blood and urine samples have been collected (55 pregnant females of 1st trimester and 12 fever patients and 2 contacts). Indoor residual spraying (IRS) has been done in 58 houses of Zika Virus positive patients. Mosquito fogging done in affected areas in Jaipur's Shastri Nagar," state health department said.

department furr said that 324 health teams have been deployed in Shastri Nagar to destroy mosquito larvae found during survey. "324 health teams have been deployed in Zika virus affected wards of Jaipur's Shastri Nagar. 11135 houses surveyed out of which 1509 found positive for mosquito breeding. During house to house survey, 353 fever patients were identified."
In view of rising cases, ditional Chief Secretary (ACS) medical and health Veenu Gupta said medicines necessary for treatment of seasonal diseases like swine flu, malaria and dengue are available at all health centers. "Along with this, all District Magistrates have been given mandate to maintain continuous monitoring of availability of medicines and testing equipment," she ded.
