August 2024 Bank Holidays: Banks to Remain Close for 13 Days, Check State-Wise Holiday List Here

Bank Holidays 2024 August: As August approaches, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the bank holidays for the month. Banks will be closed for a total of 13 days in August 2024, including regional and state-specific holidays, as well as the usual closures on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.

Despite these closures, customers can still access banking services through net banking, ATMs, mobile apps, and bank websites. 

Here is the list of bank holidays in August 2024:

1. August 3: Banks will remain closed in Agartala on the occasion of Ker Puja.
2. August 4: Sunday
3. August 8: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok on the occasion of Tendong Lho Rum Faat.
4. August 10: Second Saturday
5. August 11: Sunday
6. August 13: Banks will remain closed in Imphal on the occasion of Patriot’s Day.
7. August 15: On the occasion of Independence Day, banks will remain closed across India.
8. August 18: Sunday
9. August 19: Banks will remain closed in a few states on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
10. August 20: Banks will remain closed in Kerala on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanthi.
11. August 24: Second Saturday
12. August 25: Sunday
13. August 26: On the occasion of Janmashtami, banks will remain closed in a few states.
