Ban on sale extended: Ludhiana Police takes significant step to protect both humans and birds

Ludhiana: Given that numerous incidents of commuters suffering injuries after becoming tangled in plastic kite string have been documented in the city of Ludhiana, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, Headquarters) Rupinder Singh claims that plastic kite string is dangerous for both humans and especially birds. Therefore, the ban on the sale and storage of plastic kite string was extended on Tuesday by DCP, Headquarters Singh. The DCP went on to say that the police would file a formal complaint against the violators under section 188 of the IPC, section 5 of the Environment Protection Act, and other pertinent laws. For the following two months, the orders will be in effect.

Instructions for Schools

The DCP has mandated that all schools submit a list of all staff members, including school bus drivers and conductors, together with their photocopies to the relevant police station, with a priority given to the safety and security of the students. In addition, the government has mandated that all companies, educational institutions, and other businesses deposit the records of their on-site workers, including gardeners, drivers, watchmen, and other staff members.

Prohibition on Using Tinted Glasses

The prohibition on using tinted glasses in cars has been expanded by the DCP. The police commissioner stated that he has noticed that many people have put black films on their car windows, raising the possibility that the vehicle is being used illegally. During the next two months, the ban will be in place.

Parking lot contractors in the city were informed on Tuesday that any vehicle that is left parked in a lot for more than seven days needs to be reported to the police. Additionally, the contractors were requested to keep track of the drivers' mobile phones and car numbers. Any information hiding will result in police action. The DCP requested that the parking lot contractors and their staff maintain a log of every guest and report any instances of vehicles that are not picked up for more than a week.
