Traffic Restrictions in Bhubaneswar for Durga Immersion Procession Today: Check Details

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha , will observe traffic restrictions today due to the immersion procession of Goddess Durga, known locally as 'Bhasani Utsav.' The event will begin at 3 PM and continue until late night, with security measures in place by the Commissionerate Police. 

The restrictions are expected to last from 3 PM to 1 AM, or until the procession concludes.

Check Details: 

1. Vehicles are prohibited on the Vani Vihar to Rupali Square route. Use the Acharya Vihar route to reach Rupali Square.
2. For travel to Cuttack, take the CRPF Square – Ekamra Park – Biju Patnaik College Square – Jaydev Vihar route.
3. No vehicles are allowed from KIIT Road to NALCO Square; instead, use the Nandankanan to Jaydev Vihar route.
4. Vehicles from Khurda cannot use the Fire Station Square flyover.
5. The College Square to Buxi Bazaar and Tinikonia Bagicha to Chandni Chowk routes are restricted.
6. Vehicles are also banned from Choudhury Bazaar to Purna Sahu Square, Chandi Square to Sheikh Bazar, and Mohammadia Bazar to Chandni Chowk.

Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulances, and other emergency vehicles are exempt from these restrictions.

Residents and commuters are advised to plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
