New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority's (DDA) Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya housing schemes have seen overwhelming success, with more than 1,200 flats sold by the second day of booking, according to an official statement on Wednesday.

"So far, over 1,050 flats under the Sasta Ghar scheme and around 250 flats under the Madhyam Vargiya scheme have been sold by the evening of the second day," the DDA revealed.

As part of its commitment to quick processing, the DDA added that it has issued more than 1,170 demand letters online within 24 hours of flat bookings.

The response has been impressive across various locations and categories. In Rohini, 450 flats were sold almost immediately. Ramgarh Colony saw 100 flats booked, while all 41 units in Jasola were sold swiftly.

Narela, which has benefited from substantial government investment in infrastructure, recorded over 350 bookings on the first day. The proposed education hub, international sports complex, court complex, enhanced policing, and improved connectivity have made Narela a top choice for buyers.

The DDA credited its single-window inquiry system, easy access to information for home buyers, and the efficient provision of property-related and ownership documents with boosting buyer confidence.

The authority has put significant effort into ensuring housing options are available for all sections of society, especially through the Sasta Ghar scheme, which focuses on affordable housing.

The DDA reiterated its commitment to providing affordable homes equipped with essential physical and social infrastructure.

Recently, the DDA launched the Housing Scheme 2024, offering a golden opportunity to own a house in Delhi for as little as Rs 11 lakh. Over 40,000 flats are available in prime locations such as Narela, Rohini, Siraspur, Ramgarh, and Loknayakpuram.
