Varanasi: New Delhi: On September 15, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two new Vande Bharat Express trains, one connecting Varanasi with Deoghar and the other linking Gaya with Howrah. The inaugural ceremonies were held online, with the Prime Minister leading the events from a virtual platform.
The Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat Express is set to commence service on September 16, 2024. Operating under Train Numbers 22500 and 22499, this train will run daily except on Tuesdays, offering enhanced connectivity between Varanasi and Deoghar.

- Departure from Varanasi: 06:20 hrs
- Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction: 07:00 hrs
- Sasaram: 08:15 hrs
- Gaya: 09:25 hrs
