Father-daughter bond: A Man wear 20-Year-Old Daughter's Jacket worth Rs 150 Only

A post by a woman on X went viral, reprensting father daughter bond as she shares how her father wore her 20 year old jacket that she for an outing by the river Ganga. 

Rituparna Chatterjee, a writer and journalist, wrote “simplicity is legendary” as recently, her father surprised her by sending a photo wearing a thin flannel jacket she bought for just Rs 150 over 20 years ago from Sarojini Nagar, a flea market in Delhi.

She posted with caption, “Today my parents sent me pics of a river outing they went with some of their friends and my father is wearing that jacket over an old check shirt,” 

This post on X (formerly twitter)  received more than 5.85 lakh views and surprisingly actor Dia Mirza commented on the post. “How wonderful, thank you so much for sharing this. Lots of love to your parents and to you,” she commented.  

Rituparna had no idea that her father still had the jacket after all these years and that he wears it every winter. Despite her attempts to buy him new clothes, he insists on keeping the old jacket, saying, “Don't be wasteful. I have enough clothes, and besides, Kolkata doesn't have a proper winter.”However, she said his definition of enough clothes is 5-6 shirts, two collared T-shirts, 4-5 pants and 2-3 sweaters. “If I buy him things, he makes me return or doesn’t wear. His shirts are washed, ironed and cleaned but old fashioned as he’s not bought anything in recent years,” she said.
