The beloved "Mr. Bean: The Animated Series" is gearing up for an exciting return with its fourth season, slated for a global release in 2025. Banijay’s Tiger Aspect Kids & Family, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery and ITVX, has greenlit the new season, sealing the deal through Banijay Rights.

Executive produced and featuring the unmistakable voice of Rowan Atkinson, Season 4 will consist of 52 episodes, each running for 11 minutes, contributing to a grand total of 182 episodes across all series. The show will be broadcast on Cartoonito and HBO Max in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, on Warner Bros. Discovery's kids channels and streaming platforms in Southeast Asia and South Asia, and on ITVX Kids in the U.K. and Ireland starting in 2025—a fitting celebration of the 35th anniversary of the first live-action episode.

The animated series continues to chronicle the misadventures of Mr. Bean and his trusty partner Teddy as they embark on a new journey, leaving chaos in their wake. Produced by Tiger Aspect Kids & Family, with managing director Tom Beattie serving as an executive producer, Dave Osborne will give his direction, and Arnold Widdowson will take on the role of producer. Head writers Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones contribute their creative talents to the series.

Rowan Atkinson shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, stating, "I have always enjoyed this iteration of the Mr. Bean character and the particular freedoms he has in animated form. We can take him into space or down a tin mine, without me personally having to suffer the consequences. The animation process creatively is always fascinating, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the new series very much."

As a cultural icon, the original live-action "Mr. Bean," co-created by Atkinson and Richard Curtis, debuted in 1990. Atkinson continues to lend his voice to the animated series, which first premiered in 2002. With broadcasts reaching 195 territories, the series has maintained continuous distribution for over 30 years.
