Honouring Diversity and Resilience: IIW & Policy Ghar She Inspires Awards Ceremony Details Announced

re are many different platforms for celebrating women. But what makes different from rest of award ceremonies are people y award. Most awards are given to people who have me a significant contribution to vital fields of knowledge or entertainment. 

People are alrey aware of women politicians, singers, actors, scientists, and acemicians who have shaped ir own space in society. ir struggles and resilience are well-known to many people. 

However, a significant number of women who act in different roles- that of a mor, wife, sister, caregiver, friend, etc.- sacrifice ir own dreams and aspirations for betterment of ors around m. 

IIW SHE Inspire award ceremony honoured such women who do not have any privilege bestowed upon m.

event, centred around idea of ‘Naari Shakthi,' was conducted in House of Parliament, U.K. programme was sponsored by Mamit Agarwal and Umang Kalra, co-founders of Policy Ghar. ir contribution and support were significant in finding out most deserving women. main host was honourable M.P. Bob Blackman. 

event was hosted in two parts:

• IIW DHARMA DUBEY SPECIAL AWARDS—This part lasted one hour. A total of 35 women received award, including women who me remarkable journeys throughout ir lives without fear of judgement. committee directly select se women. 
• IIW SHE INSPIRES SPECIAL AWARDS— second part of event was also one hour long. Thirty judges selected awardees. Initially, 160 nominees were selected, but number was reduced to 100. Anor committee consisting of 15 judges selected final list of 45 awardees.

Why IIW SHE Inspire Award?

necessity of Inspiring Indian Women’s and Policy Ghar’s initiative in conducting this event cannot be overstated. A few reasons why event was relevant could be:

• Diversity- selection process of award itself deserves applause. Policy Ghar and IIW has wholly ignored conventional pattern followed by many or award committees. Usually, awarding process follows most famous women. Inspiring Indian Women in close association with Policy Ghar, in a welcome change, awards women from most underprivileged category of Indian society. By doing this, IIW rewards Indian women for ir domestic contribution. This is a very different and diverse approach to awarding. y also have a separate award for women from LGBTQ+ community, which is rare. 
• Respecting Resilience— central idea of event, 'Naari Shakthi, ' signifies resilience, a fundamental aspect of women. IIW, SHE Inspire under sponsorship of Policy Ghar awards to find most deserving women who enact silent roles and contribute to welfare of people around m. se silent warriors battle several versities in terms of caste, class, and gender. ir fight is a battle against all odds. se women are selected from a group of one hundred nominations.
