Tata Group's headquarters in Mumbai aka Bombay House, is known for taking care of people and strays alike. As a result of being open to all stray dogs in that area, they can avail free food and shelter every day of the week.
How Ratan Tata and Goa met?
Ratan Tata also had a stray pet companion that he had adopted during a visit to Goa and therefore named it Goa. In a short time, Goa became Ratan Tata's beloved companion, and he was a resident in Bombay House. Yes, your memory serves you right, Goa is the same dog that also paid his reverence to Rata Tata during the latter's last rite procession.

The class act that Ratan Tata had made him a testimonial of selflessness that extends beyond the care of humans. This incident was popularized after a video where Suhel Seth talks about Tata's love for his pets went viral.
Ratan Tata was supposed to travel to the UK to get an award felicitated by Prince Charles for his philanthropic works. For this, Tata was supposed to travel with Suhel Seth. However, Tata cancelled his travel and informed Suhel that he couldn't make it to the award ceremony as one of his pet dogs was terribly ill and he had to take care of them.
Later when Prince Charles came to know of this, he was highly in praise of Mr Rata. "That’s a man. That’s the man Ratan is. That’s why the house of Tata is what it is. That’s why it’s on a stable course."
Hospital for animals
One of the most influential figures to take birth from India, Ratan Tata was a treasure house that didn't stop giving. In 2024, he donated an animal hospital known as Tata Trusts' Small Animal Hospital.
