There are many fictional novels which became famous after it was brought to life on the screen. Here are some books that became popular after a TV show brought them to life.

Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is one of the most popular TV series ever made. The show aired for eight seasons and had a vast storyline. The show, written and created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, was inspired by a fantasy novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin. The name Game of Thrones was taken from the first book which was titled as A Song of Ice and Fire: A Game of Thrones. The show had a crazy fan following and that got transferred towards the books as within days of airing the show, the books became universally popular.

The Handmaid's Tale

The Handmaid's Tale (Hulu, 2017) is an American web television series created by Bruce Miller. The famous series is based on a 1985 novel written by Margaret Atwood. The novel and the series traces the story of a ruthlessly enslaved woman who is forced to give birth to kids for elite class people. The novel is a dystopian future depiction where many women lose fertility and only a small sect of women can give birth. The lead goes through many ups and downs in hopes to reunite with her daughter in a world of dictatorship.

Sacred Games series

When talking about books getting famous because of the photographic and digital representation of them, one can never forget this awesome Indian novel and online series, Sacred Games. The book is written by Vikram Chandra with the same name and the cinematic adaptation of the book is recreated by writers Varun Grover, Smita Singh, and Vasant Nath. The plot of the novel and the show follows the storyline of a policeman named Sartaj, and Ganesh Gaitonde, a gangster who are trying to save Mumbai and the world from mass destruction.
