On World Poetry Day, Nobel foundation remembers Rabindranath Tagore's sensitive, fresh and beautiful poetry. Here it is

People around the globe are celebrating World Poetry Day on Thursday, March 21. To mark the occasion, on Thursday, March 21, The Nobel Prize paid tribute to Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore.

While country is marooned in festival of colours, people around globe have got ar reason to celebrate as it is also World Poetry Day. Observed on March 21 every year, purpose of day is to promote reing, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry around  globe.

To mark occasion, on Thursday, March 21,  bel Prize paid tribute to Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore. institution extended a mess remembering  1913 bel Prize awardee on ir official Twitter handle and shared a throwback picture of world-rewned poet.  In post, y quoted a line from one of his poem which re: " butterfly counts t months but moments, and has time eugh."

Furr reminiscing achievements of legendary writer in post, y wrote, "Rabindranath Tagore, awarded 1913 bel Prize in Literature for his sensitive, fresh and beautiful poetry expressing his poetic thought. #WorldPoetryDay"

Meanwhile, celebrations of World Poetry Day was initiated by UNESCO ( United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1999. It was opted during UNESCO's 30th session held in Paris in 1999. As per reports,  original UNESCO declaration on same says, it is observed to "give fresh recognition and impetus to national, regional and international poetry movements".
