Diwali 2021: Laxmi Puja Vidhi, Puja Muhurat Timings, Samagri, Aarti, Rituals

festival of Dhanteras that falls a day prior to Diwali, is considered to be auspicious for worship of Goddess Lakshmi, goddess of wealth, and Kubera, god of wealth, and Lord Dhanvantari. According to Hindu calendar, festival is celebrated every year on Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. It is believed that this day brings luck, prosperity, and wealth to people.

Dhanteras Laxmi Puja Vidhi

For unversed who do not know how to celebrate festival, here is a quick guide about celebrating day according to vidhi. For Laxmi Puja, take a checkpoint. Spre a red cloth on it. Also, purify place by hitting splashes of Gangajal. Now place idol or photo of Mata Mahalakshmi. Offer a lotus flower garland or a garland of red flowers to Goddess Lakshmi. After this, apply red vermillion on idol of Mata Mahalakshmi. Burn incense, lamps, and incense sticks. Meditate on splendour of Lord Lakshmi. n post rituals, now it's time for devotes to re Lakshmi Chalisa, Lakshmi Stuti, Lakshmi Stotra, and Lakshmi Narayan Hridaya Stotra with true mind.

After this, chant mantras of Mata Mahalakshmi. After this, perform Aarti of Goddess Mahalaxmi along with family. Also, perform aarti of Lord Vishnu. Because it is said that where Lord Vishnu is re, Mahalakshmi also resides. Post aarti, now it's time when people offer sweets to ors that were kept in temple during puja.

Dhanteras Puja Samagri 

While worshiping, install idols of Panchdev i.e. Lord Surya, Lord Ganesha, Mata Durga, Lord Shiva, and Lord Vishnu. On day of Dhanteras, worship Lord Dhanvantari with Shodashopachar i.e. worship with 16 actions. At end of puja, definitely offer dakshina for sangta siddhi.
