Cultural relevance of Dussehra

Dussehra is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology and culture. The festival not only celebrates Lord Rama's victory over Ravana, who had abducted his wife, Sita, but it also highlights the belief that righteousness ultimately prevails, no matter how formidable evil may seem.

In many regions, the day is marked by the burning of effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna, and Meghnath, symbolizing the destruction of evil. As the festival draws near, preparations ramp up, paving the way for the much-anticipated Festival of Lights, Diwali, following closely behind.
