Tip 3: Ayurvedic morning routine for children

Similarly to ults, here are ways that children start ir day with an ayurvedic morning routine. detailed steps are as follows:

  • Inner cleansing: Make sure your child takes time to empty its blder and bowel.
  • Abhyanga: For babies, morning whole-body mass is carried out by parents or ar ult. Gently rub little ones with ripened sesame oil for approx. 10 to 15 minutes. Older children (as of approx. 8 years of ) and teenrs can do mass mselves and use a mass oil suited to ir dosha : (Vata Mass Oil for dry to rmal skin, Pitta Mass Oil for sensitive skin s and Kapha Mass Oil for oily skin to skin that tends to develop blemishes) – each diluted with sesame oil, if necessary.

  • Body cleansing: After mass, shower your child. While for young children pure water is often eugh, older children and teenrs can use a shower gel or shampoo appropriate to ir dosha .
  • Cleaning tongue and teeth: Besides brushing ir teeth, as usual, a tongue cleaner may be used for young children as well. While older children can use tongue cleaner by mselves with some practice, young children should get help from an ult who n gently runs tongue cleaner over tongue.
