How to use salt for pedicures?
- Fill your bathtub or a basin with warm water until it’s deep enough to cover your feet.
- Add 1/2 cup of salt to the warm water.
- Soak your feet for 30 to 60 minutes twice a week.
- For an aromatherapy boost, consider adding a few drops of diluted lavender, peppermint, or eucalyptus essential oil to your foot bath.
- To continue with your pedicure, gently massage your feet with a scrub. You can also make a homemade scrub by combining 1 tablespoon olive oil with 1 tablespoon raw sugar, besan or oatmeal.
- Soak hand towels in hot water and wrap them around the feet to seal moisture.
- Now, use a pumice stone to exfoliate dead skin from the heels. Pour a few drops of liquid soap on to a foot brush/scrubber and rub on the heel until they are thoroughly clean.
- Now wash your feet with clean water and pat dry your feet. Gently massage your feet with a moisturising lotion.
- As a finishing touch to the pedicure, apply your favourite nail colour on the toenails and allow them to dry.
