In winters humidity level of air is very low, making air very dry. So in winters, when skin comes in contact with air, water from our skin evaporates much more quickly, leaving skin to feel very dry and stretched. It is very common for skin to feel flaky and dry. Stay hydrated
One cant emphasise eugh on importance of staying hydrated. It is true that during winters water intake and retention decrease significantly. It so happens because we do t perspire in winters as much as we perspire in or seasons. refore, it becomes essential that we make conscious efforts to keep ourselves hydrated. One of easiest ways to do that is by drinking water even if you do t feel thirsty throughout day. If you do t want to drink water, n take or steps towards staying hydrated, like, having juice, consuming milk, and tea without milk.

In winters, we get a lot of variety of fruits in market. Having seasonal fruits is a very healthy option because it gives your body important vitamins and minerals. In winters we get fruits which have a lot of water in m too. That way your body stays hydrated and hence skin remains healthy.

In Indian subcontinent, we have cool and dry winters. cold breeze tends to dry skin out and wanting for that extra care. So, for that extra care, including moisturising in your skincare routine. It is important to keep in mind, that you should apply moisturiser on clean skin. So best time to moisturise would be right after bathing, scrubbing and cleansing. You can even moisturise at night before sleeping because that will protect your skin from dust and pollution. And skin gets healed during night’s time.
