At the age of 50, the skin starts losing its freshness and moisture. It starts developing wrinkles, dark circles and other skin ageing problems. One can easily tackle such problems by taking good care of the skin by being more cautious about it. Here are some basic ways which one must adopt in their skincare routine to tackle skin ageing at the age of 50.
Wear Sunscreen Every Day
Sunscreens are essential when it comes to taking care of the skin. Nothing damages the skin more than the sun and sunscreen poses as a shield between the harmful sun rays and the skin. If a person avoids this fact, it may lead to many things such as brown spots, wrinkles, tanning, and skin cancer. Every sunscreen is different from the other. One must choose this product with at least 40 SPF and the one that blocks UVA and UVB.
Find the right cleansers and moisturisers
It is very important to know which cleansers, moisturisers, and a skincare routine one must choose according to the skin type. However, people with sensitive skin must be very careful of which products to use, and they should test them on arms and neck before using them on the face. Growing older is directly proportional to the skin getting dryer day by day.
Exfoliation
Exfoliation helps a lot as we grow older. The skin grows thicker and loses its moisture as it ages. Exfoliation helps in retaining the moisture. It also assists in keeping the skin fresh. One should exfoliate both the body and the face weekly. If the skin gets dry, itchy, and flaky they must do it at least twice a week. However, one must be careful not to go overboard with the exfoliation as otherwise you might be left with dry and red skin.
