Madhya Pradesh’s Nikita Porwal Crowned Miss India 2024
Rekha Pandey, representing the Union Territory, secured the position of 1st runner-up, while Gujarat’s Aayushi Dholakia claimed the 2nd runner-up title.
The highly anticipated Femina Miss India World 2024 concluded on Wednesday night in Mumbai, with Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh being crowned as Miss India 2024. Rekha Pandey, representing the Union Territory, secured the position of 1st runner-up, while Gujarat’s Aayushi Dholakia claimed the 2nd runner-up title.
Nikita Porwal, Miss India 2024 was crowned by Nandini Gupta, Femina Miss India World 2023, and sashed by the legendary Neha Dhupia, Femina Miss India 2002.
Introducing the newly crowned Miss India 2024, the Miss India Organisation in their social media post states that "this moment marks the beginning of an extraordinary journey, as she steps into her role as India’s next global ambassador of beauty, grace, and purpose. A crown not just of jewels but of legacy, strength, and dreams fulfilled. Her reign begins now, and the world awaits her arrival!”
Sangeeta Bijlani, Femina Miss India 1980, set the stage ablaze with a stellar performance, while several other dignitaries graced the event.
Commenting on Sangeeta's stunning tribute, the Miss India Organisation writes in an Instagram post, “What an unforgettable moment honoring 60 years of beauty, grace, and empowerment”.
This year Miss India edition launched a nationwide talent search and narrowed it down to 30 state finalists. The newly crowned Miss India 2024, Nikita Porwal, will now represent India at the upcoming Miss World pageant.
