Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso
Equipment
- Espresso Machine or Moka Pot
- Jar with a Lid or Shaker
Ingredients
- 4 oz espresso
- Dash of cinnamon
- 1-3 tsp brown sugar or coconut sugar (depending on how sweet you like it!)
- ¼ cup creamer or milk of choice (can add more or less depending on your preference)
- Lots of ice
Instructions
- Brew espresso and add to a jar or shaker with brown sugar or coconut sugar, cinnamon and a small handful of ice.
- Cover with a lid and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. It’ll be ready when it’s frothy and chilled.
- Pour the coffee into a glass, add in lots of ice and pour in the creamer or milk. Taste to see if you want a little more creamer or milk and adjust if needed.
Expert Tips By Kayla
- You don’t need a fancy espresso machine! A Moka pot is around works great.
- Use coconut sugar and dairy-free/sugar-free creamer to keep mine paleo.
- If you like it sweeter, use more sugar!
- Cinnamon is optional but it adds something!
- Be sure to shake it super well to get it frothy and chilled before adding it to a glass.
